| FRIENDSHIP SENIOR HIGH IS OUT THERE... WHERE THE NEED IS! Help is needed for the Senior High "Giving Trail!" There will be no silent auction this year, so we need your help, support and prayers in other ways. The money raised for the Giving Trail goes directly to the people we are helping on our mission trip in McDowell County, the poorest county in West Virginia and one of the poorest areas in the United States. The Giving Trail is an opportunity to purchase an item for families who we will serve. One of McDowell's most pressing needs is to heat their youth center and gymnasium. Senior High Mission Trip Planned Over 90 participants have signed up for the Sr. High Mission Trip this year to Welch, West Virginia, an old coal mining mountain town. The students are holding an event, "Walk the Appalachian Trail" on Saturday, April 26. The students walking will be looking for sponsors. Please consider walking for us or sponsoring a youth. Each costs just $10. Senior High Youth Win Award! FUMC's Senior High Youth Group and Wyoming High School were presented a Human Relations Award from the City of Cincinnati in Council Chambers by the City Council and Cincinnati Human Relations Commission, along with the Mayerson Foundation for service to the community with the "Modern Day Slavery" Program and awareness events. |
